The Fair Lawn Police Department was proud to participate in the "Torch Run for Special Olympics".  On Friday, May 30, 2003, officers from the Fair Lawn Police Department shed their uniforms for running attire and ran the approximate 4 mile Torch Run route.

The Fair Lawn officers picked up the torch from the Glen Rock Police Department on Maple Avenue by Harristown Road.  The torch was carried by Fair Lawn officers down Maple Avenue to River Road and south on River Road to Morlot Avenue.  The torch was then carried down Morlot Avenue to 17th Street and then down 17th Street to Broadway.

Fair Lawn officers carried the torch east on Broadway, handing the torch off to the Paramus Police at Broadway by Saddle River Road, where it continued it's journey through Bergen County.
