Fair Lawn Police Officer Sergeant Rich Schultz
and Officer Anthony Logo , will once again
participate in the Police Unity Tour. The
Police Unity Tour was formed in 1997 by a group of police officers that ride
bicycles annually from New Jersey to Washington D.C. in support of the National
Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial. The National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial is a
tribute to all federal, state, and local law enforcement officers.
The 2009 Police Unity Tour will start off this
year in Livingston NJ and travel to Ground Zero in New York City for a ceremony,
from there they will ride to Woodbridge, NJ ending the first day of the tour.
The Police Unity Tour will than travel through Wilmington, DE, Annapolis, MD and
end in Washington D.C., there they will meet up with their brother and sister
police officers from other chapters of the Police Unity Tour and cycle in
together to the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial. The Police Unity Tour Inc. has grown
from the original group of twenty-five officers, to over five hundred officers
and has donated over $1,500,000.00 to the memorial.
Sgt. Schultz, a charter member of the Police Unity Tour,
will be
participating in his ninth tour. The Sergeant once again will be part of the
elite support team. Sgt. Schultz will be operating his Harley Davidson Police
Motorcycle providing escort and traffic control for the cyclists.
