FLPD Class III Special Police Officers
The FLPD Class III Special Police Officers are retired law enforcement officers in accordance with guidelines from the State of New Jersey Police Training Commission who are tasked with providing security to the Fair Lawn Middle and Elementary Schools. Officers work closely with school personnel to ensure a safe environment for all.
Det/Captain Ronald Patterson is in charge of the Class III Officers and the unit provides coverage across 10 school facilities and serves a student population of over 5,600.
